Enera, an AI-powered platform that helps improve the electric vehicle (EV) charging experience, has raised $2 million in a new funding round. The investment was led by Lakehouse Ventures, which made its first investment outside the United States through this deal. Other investors included Divergent Capital, Masia, and several angel investors from the mobility and technology sectors.
As more people switch to electric vehicles, reliable charging has become a major concern. Many EV drivers still face problems when trying to charge their vehicles even though charging networks often report that their chargers are working properly.

According to Enera, there is often a difference between the performance numbers reported by charging operators and the actual experience of drivers. While charger uptime may appear high on paper, many charging sessions still fail creating frustration for EV users and highlighting the need for better charging reliability

“EV charging is the sharpest example of a much bigger problem: the world increasingly runs on distributed, connected hardware, but when something goes wrong the person standing in front of it isn't an engineer. Operators can't see where their experience is breaking down, and users carry the cost. We are building the AI recovery layer for that entire category of infrastructure, starting where the pain is sharpest and the market is growing fastest,” said Nicholas Marquardt, Co-Founder and CEO, Enera
“AI customer support has been one of the most well-funded categories of the last two years, but almost all of that capital has gone into asset-light industries. Enera is one of the first teams we have seen credibly take this technology into asset-heavy infrastructure, where the stakes are higher and the integrations are harder. We are excited to back Nicholas, Arnaldo, and the team as they prove it out in EV charging and open up a much larger opportunity from there.”,said John Neamonitis, Founder & GP, Lakehouse Ventures
Founded in 2025, Enera is building AI technology that helps improve electric vehicle (EV) charging networks. Its AI tools can quickly detect and resolve charging session failures in real time helping drivers have a smoother charging experience.
The company also provides a platform called Control Room, which allows charge point operators to monitor charger performance, track issues, and gain valuable insights across their entire charging network.
