SUMMARY

  • Cologne-based Einklang, which specialises in integrated energy solutions for Germany’s mid-sized businesses, has raised €2.2 million to scale its battery-optimised electricity tariff for SMEs, a solution that reportedly cuts power costs by 30–40%.

The funding round was led by Vireo Ventures, with participation from SI Ventures, Saxovent, Angel Invest, Heimatboost, and DnA Ventures.

The fresh capital will support the expansion of its battery-optimised tariffs, targeting 30–50% cost savings and up to 50% energy independence across 100 customer sites by 2026.

Founded by Lucas Jonas, Jonathan Schulte, Paul Ziche, and José Neri, Einklang is building a system that aligns electricity usage with solar and wind generation by combining energy procurement, storage, and consumption into one integrated solution.

Its broader ambition is to become a leading provider of decentralised, flexible energy offering batteries, solar, and dynamic tariffs in a bundled model with no upfront costs for customers.

Co-founder and CEO Lucas Jonas brings deep industry experience, having scaled Voltfang in Aachen and Impuls Energy in Cologne, combining industrial expertise with algorithm-driven energy trading.

The team launched Einklang to support Germany’s Mittelstand businesses that were left out of energy relief measures and to address the volatility challenges that standalone renewable solutions cannot fully manage.

“We’re solving a central problem of the energy transition,” says Lucas Jonas, co-founder and CEO of Einklang. “While energy-intensive industries are granted relief through tailored regulations, mid-size companies continue to face high electricity prices. The issue isn’t renewable energy itself, but rather price volatility, high grid charges, consumption peaks and a lack of flexibility. Our solution tackles exactly these problems.”

With this latest funding round, Einklang is reinforcing its commitment to driving a sustainable energy transition within Germany’s industrial Mittelstand.

The company plans to further enhance its technology platform and expand strategic partnerships, aiming to make flexible decentralised energy systems the new standard for mid-sized businesses.

“Only when consumption, storage, and procurement are intelligently coordinated can electricity become both affordable and predictable,” adds Lucas. “Our goal is to ensure that companies automatically use power when the sun shines or the wind blows smartly and without any operational complexity.”
