SUMMARY

  • Duvo, an AI-native automation platform that equips retail teams with an AI workforce for everyday operations, has secured $15 million in seed funding.

The round was led by Index Ventures backers of Figma, Revolut, and Wiz with participation from Credo Ventures, Northzone, and Puzzle Ventures, as well as angel investors Roy Reznik (Wiz co-founder), David Singleton (former Stripe CTO), and Kieran Flanagan (former Zapier CMO).

Retail, e-commerce, and fast-moving consumer goods are highly complex industries marked by thin margins and extensive supplier networks. Many retailers still rely on staff manually moving data between disconnected tools and third-party portals often using systems more than a decade old and never designed to work together.

Traditional enterprise software initiatives are costly and slow frequently requiring core-system replacements or intricate integrations that can take months or even years with no guarantee of success. As competition intensifies and margins shrink, retailers that remain dependent on these fragile manual processes risk falling behind those that modernize more quickly.

Duvo addresses this need for faster, lower-risk transformation. Built for business users rather than technical teams, the platform enables commercial, supply chain, and finance teams to create and refine AI assistants on their own eliminating dependence on major IT projects or specialized engineering resources.

The platform includes ready-to-use AI assistants for tasks such as weekly margin analysis, promotions and price updates, invoice reconciliation, assortment optimization, and vendor onboarding. Retailers typically start with one team or region, demonstrate value within weeks, and then scale the same automations across additional markets without large-scale IT work.

Working with Duvo’s agents is designed to feel like delegating tasks to trusted colleagues. The agents handle operational workflows that slow teams down, executing full processes across existing systems from legacy portals to modern tools and can even place phone calls when required.

Unlike general-purpose AI assistants, Duvo is purpose-built to run retail operations, not just assist via chat. Its agents act directly within retailers’ systems to autonomously complete tasks, supported by governance features, audit trails, security controls, and robust user-management. Every action is transparent: managers can see what was done and when, set approval workflows once, and rely on assistants to escalate only exceptions or decisions requiring human judgment.

The new investment will fuel hiring and product development as Duvo scales across the retail sector, with plans to expand into additional industries where operational complexity demands reliable automation.
