Ghent-based Donna, an AI-powered assistant for field sales teams, has raised $4.8 million to fuel international growth and strengthen its presence in field sales enablement.

The funding round was led by Frontline Ventures with participation from existing investors and experienced angel backers.

Field sales teams have long been underserved. Spending most of their time on the road, they often struggle with tools designed for desk-based users. Mobile apps can be cumbersome, CRM adoption is low, and critical context is often lost between meetings.

Donna addresses this gap by turning travel time, customer visits, and other on-the-go moments into productive selling opportunities. The AI assistant delivers timely prompts, equips reps with relevant information before meetings, and handles sales administration automatically, capturing interactions end-to-end. Clients report up to 75% less administrative work, improved CRM adoption and data quality and up to 20% higher close rates.

Evolving from a voice-to-CRM tool into a multimodal, always-on AI assistant, Donna anticipates field sales teams’ needs, understands their business context, and automates tasks like meeting notes and follow-up emails in real time.
