Delft-based medtech startup STIL Secures €2M Funding

The funds will help the company expand its team, build stronger clinical partnerships, and speed up its international market launch.

A tremor is an involuntary shaking of the limbs. It affects over 30 million people worldwide who live with Parkinson’s Disease, essential tremor, and other similar conditions, making everyday tasks like eating and drinking difficult.

While tremors aren't dangerous on their own, they seriously impact quality of life. Current treatments are often either not effective or highly invasive—and there’s still no cure.

STIL has created a groundbreaking solution for tremor patients: the anti-tremor orthosis.

This CE-marked wearable device uses special dampers that reduce tremors by over 80%, without limiting voluntary movement.

It’s designed for people with essential tremor, dystonia, and Parkinson’s disease, helping them regain independence and perform daily tasks with ease.

Founded by IJsbrand de Lange and Nicola Pambakian, STIL developed a non-invasive alternative to drugs and surgery.

The device uses smart algorithms and neuromodulation to target tremors while allowing full freedom of movement.

By 2024, STIL had sold hundreds of units and secured distribution deals in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, and Italy. To date, the company has raised €3.6 million from investors like Health Innovations, Rabobank, EIC Accelerator, and the Brain Foundation Netherlands.
