Copenhagen-based GetWhy, a global consumer research tech company, has raised $20 million (€17M) in new funding.

The round was led by PeakSpan Capital, with support from Arbejdernes Landsbank. This extends GetWhy’s Series A and makes it one of Denmark’s biggest funding rounds so far.
PeakSpan Capital, a U.S.-based growth equity firm, has invested in over 40 software companies and manages more than $1.5 billion in assets. The firm uses deep industry knowledge and a custom tech platform to help startups grow and succeed.

This new funding will help GetWhy expand its platform and continue supporting brands with fast, smart consumer insights.

As part of its growth plan, the Danish company will open a U.S. office in 2025 to expand its presence in the world’s biggest consumer market.

Some 60 per cent of our revenue comes from the U.S., so this is a natural and necessary step for us to get closer to our current and potential American customers and solidify our position as a market leader driving the industry forward,” says Casper Henningsen, co-founder and CEO of GetWhy.
The new funding boosts GetWhy’s market leadership and expands its Series A round, making it one of the largest ever raised in Denmark.
