Copenhagen’s AI Newsroom FNS Raises €1.5M Pre-seed To Expand Financial Data Platform

The round was led by Ugly Duckling Ventures and comes amid a broader wave of investment in AI-driven financial software and data infrastructure.

Across Europe, similar startups are attracting strong funding, highlighting growing investor interest in AI-powered financial intelligence, analytics, and enterprise tools not just consumer fintech solutions.

Collectively, these related funding rounds total around €94 million, including FNS, signalling continued momentum in the AI-led financial data and analytics space.

Founded in 2024, FNS develops specialised AI models that extract insights from financial press releases and regulatory filings, delivering real-time data to investors and analysts with near zero latency.

The platform covers around 9,000 companies across the US, Canada, and Europe, operating without traditional journalists. FNS has also secured global partnerships with Dow Jones and FactSet.

With the new funding from Ugly Duckling Ventures, the company plans to expand its AI capabilities to cover IPOs, insider trading, macroeconomic data, central bank decisions, and financial fundamentals.

Founders Sulugiuc and CTO Nicolai Pedersen previously built PLX AI, which was acquired by Thomson Reuters in 2022.
