trueLedger, founded in 2021, was created out of first-hand experience with the inefficiencies and lack of transparency in managing professional service relationships. Its founders, drawing on their careers in large and mid-sized insurance companies as well as consulting, recognized a shared pain point faced by both service buyers and providers: complex invoicing, limited visibility into progress and budgets, and a general lack of trust. By applying the concept of Computed Contracting—an expertise rooted in the insurance industry—trueLedger set out to solve these challenges. After extensive interviews with enthusiastic buyers and providers of professional services, the company was established with a clear mission: to build an automated, simple, and convenient platform that delivers transparency, trust, and efficiency exactly as its founders would want to use themselves.
