About Kreios Space

Kreios Space is a deep-tech startup focused on the research and development of technologies that enable operations in Very Low Earth Orbit (VLEO). Founded in May 2021 by a team of six founders, the company is currently dedicated to prototyping and bringing to market an air-breathing electric propulsion system that allows satellites to operate at much lower altitudes than conventional orbits. By enabling satellite operations between 100 and 400 kilometers above Earth—compared to the typical 500 kilometers or higher—Kreios Space significantly enhances resolution for both telecommunications and Earth observation. Through its innovative propulsion technology, the company aims to unlock new possibilities for high-performance, cost-efficient, and sustainable space missions.
