CYRUS was founded in 2019 as a spin-off company of NCSR “DEMOKRITOS” with deep research expertise (over 100 person-years in hydrogen technologies). Based in Agia Paraskevi, Athens, Greece, the company was created to develop a noise-free hydrogen compression system based on metal hydrides, using only water as the cooling/heating medium to achieve pressures above 500 bar. Since its inception, CYRUS has focused on turning research into real solutions, driven by a commitment to clean energy, innovation, and practical technology for hydrogen refueling infrastructure.
