  • CACEIS has acquired a minority stake in Kriptown, a French fintech focused on asset tokenisation.

The investment aligns with the upcoming launch of its subsidiary, Lise (Lightning Stock Exchange), a European tokenised trading platform designed for SMEs and mid-cap companies.

CACEIS, the asset servicing arm of Crédit Agricole, supports asset managers and institutional investors globally. With operations in Europe, the Americas, and Asia, it provides a wide range of services including custody, fund administration, trade execution, clearing, and middle-office outsourcing.

As part of its strategic vision, CACEIS has invested in Kriptown, a European fintech founded in 2018 and a trailblazer in asset tokenisation. Kriptown’s proprietary tech enables tokenisation and integrates market and post-trade operations into one seamless platform. It also owns Lise, a regulated marketplace simplifying equity financing for SMEs.

Lise is developing a blockchain-based infrastructure and has applied for DLT Trading and Settlement System (DLT TSS) approval under the EU pilot regime, paving the way for issuing, trading, and settling financial instruments using distributed ledger technology.

As part of its long-term strategy to modernise market infrastructure, CACEIS has been expanding its digital asset capabilities—a commitment further underscored by its recent MiCA regulatory approval, demonstrating its view that innovation and regulation must progress hand in hand.

This investment represents a significant milestone for Kriptown, strengthening its governance and bolstering stakeholder confidence in Lise’s mission as it advances its innovative platform.
