British startup Butternut Box, known for fresh dog food, has raised over €75 million in debt financing from Liquidity.

This new funding will help Butternut Box strengthen its presence in Europe by building a second factory in Poland. This supports their goal to bring health and happiness to dogs everywhere with fresh meals.

All Butternut meals are made with human-quality meat and vegetables, gently cooked to create simple, tasty, and complete meals. They include the right balance of vitamins and minerals for dogs of all ages.

Butternut Box wants to change the dog food industry for the better. It is one of the few B Corp pet food brands in the UK and one of only two in manufacturing. For every new dog customer, they donate a meal to a dog in need.

The company serves customers in the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and Poland, with plans to expand more.
In 2024, they started offering fresh cat food with a new brand called Marro. Since starting, Butternut Box has raised over €451 million, including a recent €332 million investment from General Atlantic and L Catterton.
This partnership with Butternut Box is Liquidity’s 10th major deal in Europe in the past year, showing their wide interest in opportunities across the region.
