Bloq.it Funding News – Lisbon-Based Bloq.it Raises €28 Million In Series B Round

The company says this is one of the largest Series B rounds ever raised by a Portugal-based startup, following three years of strong growth and major partnerships.

Miha Jagodic, CEO of Bloq.it, says, “Our core goal remains to change the parcel delivery status quo. We’re accelerating a new standard for delivery: one that’s efficient, low-impact, and accessible to every logistics player in Europe.”

The lockers are built to easily integrate with any logistics provider and can be scaled or customized to fit different countries, locations, and product types.

Its partners include Vinted Go, DHL eCommerce, and GLS.

In 2024, Bloq.it doubled its revenue and added over 5,000 new lockers—a 290% increase from the previous year. The company also launched NEXT, an autonomous locker that works even in remote, off-grid areas.

“Bloq.it is at the core of the transition to out-of-home delivery all across Europe—despite our growth so far, there’s a clear feeling that we’re just getting started,” added João Lopes, COO & CRO of Bloq.it.

Bloq.it says e-commerce is now leading the postal industry. While mail volumes have been falling for years, parcel deliveries are rising.

A 2024 McKinsey report shows that with this growth, consumers now care more about reliability and convenience than just speed.

At the same time, more people are buying and selling through secondhand platforms like Vinted and Etsy, leading to a rise in out-of-home (OOH) delivery choices. As convenience becomes a top priority, the logistics industry needs smart, OOH-focused solutions.

Bloq.it processes over 50 million shipments a year and wants to lead this shift. Since 2021, the company has seen a massive 73,083% growth in revenue.

Bloq.it believes home delivery alone can’t handle the over 19 billion parcels delivered in Europe last year—a number expected to hit 30 billion by 2028–2029. This shows a clear need for scalable, secure, and convenient out-of-home (OOH) delivery solutions.
