Black Semiconductor funding news – Germany-based Black Semiconductor Acquires Applied Nanolayers

The IGP platform is built to allow energy-efficient, high-speed data communication. It connects thousands of chips to work as one system, helping progress in areas like AI, robotics, autonomous driving, and high-performance computing.

By combining Black Semiconductor’s knowledge of chip design and photonic technology with Applied Nanolayers’ expertise in graphene material production, the company aims to improve its technology even further.

Black Semiconductor has acquired Applied Nanolayers (ANL), which will now operate as Black Semiconductor Netherlands.

Applied Nanolayers has 12 years of experience in integrating graphene at the wafer level. This acquisition improves Black Semiconductor’s ability to process graphene using a semi-automated 200mm production platform that can produce 10,000 wafers per year.
