Berlin-based Peec AI Secures €7 Million Funding To Help Brands Boost Visibility In AI Search

Peec AI, a German startup developing an AI-powered search platform for marketing teams, has secured €7 million in funding just five months after its launch to support companies with Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO).

Following a €1.8 million pre-seed round in April, Peec AI raised an additional €5.2 million in a Seed round led by 20VC, driven by rapid revenue growth. The round also saw participation from Antler, Foreword VC, Identity.VC, Combination VC, and S20.

Marius Meiners, Co-founder of Peec AI, comments, “Companies have to adjust to a world where people are asking ChatGPT and Perplexity which TV to buy or where to go for vacation, while searches on Google are going down. We want to give marketers the tools to win on these new platforms and drive growth for their companies.”

The co-founders met during Antler’s Founder Residency in Berlin and bring diverse backgrounds. Meiners is a former esports pro turned software engineer and venture expert at PwC. Siwona is a serial entrepreneur with multiple AI and consumer tech ventures. Drabo ran a ramen food truck during law school and later founded a LegalTech startup helping workers win severance claims.

More people are now turning to AI tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity instead of traditional search engines like Google. A recent study found that 27% of users rely on AI search platforms for at least half of their online searches.
