SUMMARY

  • Antwerp-based HRTech startup Move To Happiness has raised €1 million to accelerate the growth of its Human Performance platform an AI-driven system that connects employee focus, energy, recovery, and mental sharpness to productivity and business outcomes.

The funding will support further AI development, enhance early detection of performance risks, and scale the platform across organisations.

In a broader European HRTech funding context, Move To Happiness’ round sits alongside a series of larger 2025–2026 investments focused on AI-enabled people and performance management platforms.

In January 2025, London-based Zelt raised €5.7 million to expand its all-in-one human capital management platform and scale internationally. This was followed in May 2025 by Milan-based Skillvue, which secured €5.5 million to further develop its AI-driven skills intelligence platform supporting skills-based hiring and workforce development.

In Spain, Madrid-based Orbio reported more than €6.4 million in funding to accelerate the rollout of its AI-native HR system, while Valencia-based Sesame secured access to up to €50 million in an equity-free growth instrument to support international expansion of its talent management software.

Taken together, these announcements point to more than €67 million moving into adjacent HRTech segments over the past two years.

Within this landscape, Move To Happiness’ raise is smaller in absolute terms but aligns with a wider shift towards data-driven approaches that link employee functioning, wellbeing and productivity to organisational outcomes.

Founded in 2021 Move To Happiness helps organizations improve employee wellbeing and performance. Its platform offers personalized guidance and shows how energy, focus and recovery affect productivity, performance, and retention.

Traditional wellbeing initiatives typically achieve 20–40% engagement, but Move To Happiness reports 65–90% active participation among clients, including Accenture and VGD.

Despite rising investment in employee wellbeing, burnouts, mental fatigue, and productivity loss continue to grow. According to the company the challenge isn’t a lack of good intentions but a lack of structured, connected programs. Many initiatives remain disconnected from daily work, overlook individual differences and rarely link wellbeing to performance, resulting in high activity but limited impact.

Move To Happiness integrates objective data sleep, stress, HRV and energy from wearables with personality, behavioral profiles, and evidence-based behavioral science. These insights are transformed into personalized guidance via AI coaches focused on sleep, mental load, energy management and behavioral choices.

The platform uniquely connects individual coaching to anonymized organizational insights, giving companies visibility into patterns affecting performance where energy is lost, recovery is under pressure, roles are strained and early signals of burnout or attrition emerge.

“Wellbeing is still too often approached as care or compensation,” says Kenneth Van Daele, CEO and co-founder of Move To Happiness. “But at its core, this is about how people function in complex, high-pressure environments. Their energy, focus, recovery and decision-making capacity now directly determine the performance of teams and organisations.”
