SUMMARY
- Baze, the Italian startup that helps families select, hire, and pay domestic workers in a simple, safe, and transparent way, announces the closing of a €650,000 funding round.
The operation was led by a major Italian family office, alongside startup studio Nana Bianca and several notable business angels in the Italian startup ecosystem, including Donatello Bianco, Alessandro Cavallo, Lorenzo Fabris, Riccardo Mascagni, Jacopo Pertile, Alessandro Rimassa, and Patrick Turchi through the vehicle Happy2C, Augusto Valli through Italian Business Adventures, and Paolo Zanzottera.
This confirms the growing interest in innovative solutions in the domestic work sector, which in Italy accounts for over 2 million workers—around half of whom are still employed irregularly.

With this investment, Baze will accelerate the technological development of its platform and strengthen its presence in Milan and Florence, with the goal of expanding soon to all major Italian cities.
“Our mission is to become the smart, reliable service for finding and managing verified domestic workers. We want to improve both the quality of work and people’s lives by revolutionizing the way households are managed. Today, more than 1 million workers in this sector face daily irregularity; this is where we can make the biggest impact. By 2026, we aim to be present in all major Italian cities,” said Davide Lauria, Founder and CEO of Baze.
With a solid growth track record and over 300 regular employment relationships established in the first half of 2025—marking a 200% growth in Q2 alone—Baze has already demonstrated its ability to make a concrete difference in one of the country’s most fragmented and complex sectors.
Future Goals
The company now aims to reach more than 1,000 jobs created and managed through the platform by the end of 2025, while consolidating Baze Pay, the first payment system in Italy for domestic workers that automates and simplifies INPS contributions and mandatory accruals.
