SUMMARY

  • Berlin-based Andercore, an AI-powered industrial supply trading platform, has secured $40 million in a Series B funding round combining equity and debt to fuel its European expansion.

Existing investors Atomico and Project A participated, joined by new investor Inven Capital and institutional financing from Commerzbank and KfW. The company has now raised $75 million in total.

Andercore works in global wholesale trade, supporting industrial supply chains across various sectors. The market is mostly manual, with fragmented processes, high transaction costs, and limited direct access for international suppliers.

The company initially targets infrastructure, energy and building materials, using these as a foundation to expand into broader industrial supply segments.

Over the past five years, Andercore has built an asset-light, cross-border trading model powered by its proprietary AI platform. The company buys products from international suppliers and sells them to local buyers on its own account.

Its technology manages pricing, quoting, quality assurance, distribution, and embedded financing, supporting thousands of transactions per month across seven European markets.

Philipp Andernach, founder and CEO, said the company’s core focus is using AI to support cross-border trade in physical goods: Our system brings prediction, discipline, and speed to supply chains that still rely on manual work. Buyers get faster quotes, better pricing and frictionless execution across complex industrial categories. Suppliers gain a partner that drives consistent demand, expands their customer base, pays promptly, and handles operational complexity on their behalf.

The new funding will support Andercore’s geographic expansion, broader product categories, and ongoing development of its AI platform.

Over time, the platform aims to allow suppliers to sell directly, integrating supply, demand, and financing in a single system. The company continues to grow its presence in global industrial trade, initially focusing on Europe.
