Five companies have joined the fund's focused portfolio: K2 Space, a manufacturer of powerful, affordable mega-class satellites for mass abundance; Reflex Aerospace uses a highly modular satellite bus to build payload-centric and scalable spacecraft in a fraction of the time historically possible; Morpheus Space offers electric thrusters and software solutions to give satellite operators in-space mobility; Blackwave manufactures productized carbon-fiber reinforced pressure tanks for launch vehicles and satellite systems; and Source Energy produces solar panels for space.

Alpine Space Ventures' investment team has built technologies, teams, and organisations for over 50 years, influencing the NewSpace industry. Founding Partner Bulent Altan joined Elon Musk's team in 2004 and oversaw the avionics development for Falcon 1, Falcon 9, Dragon capsule, and Starlink satellites before leaving the company in 2017.

Founding Partner Joram Voelklein has been investing in innovation since 2015, including an angel investment in launch business Isar Aerospace with Bulent that made him one of the first European space tech ecosystem backers.

Bulent Altan, Founding Partner at Alpine Space Ventures said, “We are looking forward to putting the fund’s capital to work and continuing to support the industry’s best entrepreneurs,” “First and foremost, we are investing in the best teams with a strong market understanding, who are putting customer-centricity first, and are iterating through technical solutions quickly in their pursuit to build the best possible commercial solution.”

Joram Voelklein, Founding Partner of Alpine Space Ventures said, “Today’s a great day for the ecosystem and beyond as we are making a significant volume of smart money available to scale up space-enabled solutions globally and across industries. We are still in the early days of the European space ecosystem and I could not imagine a better time to inject further momentum into it,”.

The investment base of Alpine Space Ventures, which consists of numerous business owners and space industry pioneers, including more than 20 of the original SpaceX personnel, further enhances this experience. The NATO Innovation Fund (NIF), the European Investment Fund (EIF), and a number of well-known family offices are among the fund's additional investors.
