4elements, a venture studio based in Chambéry, has raised €27.4 million to create startups focused on environmental impact. Their goal is to launch around ten startups over the next five years.

The funding round was led by the European Investment Fund (EIF), with additional support from France 2030’s French Tech Acceleration 2 Fund, Bpifrance, Greenpact, and several family offices.
It believes that the cost of not addressing environmental issues is higher than adapting to them, with studies showing companies could lose up to 7% of their annual revenue by 2035 due to environmental challenges.

Cédric Favier, Co-founder of 4elements said, “This round of financing will enable us to provide adapted and progressive funding, up to 6 million euros per startup, depending on the different stages of maturity of the projects, throughout Europe, with priority given to the French market,”.
The team helps create and fund startups from the idea stage to ready-for-market products. They act as Co-founders, identifying key factors for success, defining the startup's value, and preparing it for the market with product development, marketing, sales, and planning.
