Mr. Mukhopadhyay is a Post-Graduate in Commerce from the University of Calcutta. He is a Fellow member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India(F.CMA). He is an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (I.C.A.I.) and the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (I.C.S.I.). He was conferred the Doctorate of Excellence (Honoris Causa) by the Confederation of International Accreditation Commission, USA, in 2019 for his scholarly achievement and corporate leadership in financial management.Career
Mr. Mukhopadhyay commenced his career in 1983 with the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), developing a solid understanding of industrial operations. He then moved to Tata Motors in 2001 as CFO & Company Secretary of HV Axles Limited, and subsequently became Head - Group Performance Management in Tata Motors from 2005 onwards.He later transitioned to CEO & MD of TML Smart City Mobility Solutions Limited until June 2025 and played an integral role in accelerating India’s EV journey.Today, he is the Founder & CEO of NAVTOM Consulting Pvt. Ltd., and serves as Non-Executive Director on the board of TMF Business Services Limited. He has served as a Director on the boards of 14 entities, both inside and outside the Tata Group, throughout his extensive and successful career, helping them navigate diverse and tumultuous market conditions.Personal Life
